Our History

Sensenium Medical was founded in September 2016 when a team of 6 Biomedical Engineers came together with a single goal: to improve stroke patient’s survival and quality of life. In order to do this, we aimed to shorten the diagnostic time, one of the most alarming limitations in current stroke diagnostics.

Our Duty

We are developing a microfluidic device that can differentiate types of stroke within 10 minutes. With a single drop of blood, RHISE (Rapid Hemorrhagic and Ischemic Stroke Evaluator) can tell primary care crews what kind of stroke is afflicting the patient. Designed to be implemented in an ambulance, RHISE saves lives by delivering accurate stroke diagnosis and reducing diagnostic time to provide patients with appropriate treatment early. Simple, fast, and effective, RHISE will revolutionize the future of stroke diagnostics and improve patient’s outcome.
